DO I NEED TO PACK MY CHILD'S LUNCH EACH DAY OR IS IT PROVIDED?

Yes, your child will need to bring a bagged lunch each day and will not have access to a fridge or microwave.  When possible, your child will have access to fresh fruits and veggies from the garden for snacks.

IS THE AGE RANGE FLEXIBLE?

If your child will be turning 6 in 2022, they will be accepted.  Simply put that they are six on the form.  If your child will be turning 6 in 2023, depending on enrollment, they may be accepted although initially you will be placed on a waitlist and will be informed if they are accepted nearer to the camp date.

DO YOU OFFER SIBLING DISCOUNTS?

Not at this time.  As it is the first season, we are looking for financial support to grow the business.  In the future, with the successful growth of the business, we will be able to offer discounts.

CAN I BOOK A TOUR?

Tours will be available to book starting in June.  Please follow @dillon.woods_day.camp or regularly check the website for news and updates.  Pictures of the location, and projects we are working on, will be shared and will give you a better idea of what to expect.

WHAT ARE THE DROP OFF AND PICK UP TIMES?

Drop off time will be 9:00 - 9:15am and pick up time will be between 4:00 and 4:30pm.

HOW WILL TRANSPORTATION WORK IF I'M DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP IN PARRY SOUND?

The possibility of drop off and pick up in Parry Sound will depend on information received in the applications.  At this time there is no guarantee.  However, Miss C is eager to be flexible and accommodate parents' needs to the best of her ability.  If you have specific needs in terms of transportation (ie. drop off and pick up times, booster seat etc.), please include this information at the end of your application.

WHAT ARE THE WASHROOMS LIKE AT THE CAMP LOCATION?

The main indoor building on site is a house.  There are two main floor washrooms that are easily accessible and comfortable.

IN THE EVENT OF RAIN, WILL THE CAMP STILL OPERATE?

Yes, if we are faced with a rainy day, the children will be asked to bring weather appropriate clothing as we will still explore and play in the rain.  We will also use the house and gazebo for indoor activities.

WHAT WOULD THE BENEFITS BE FOR MY 11 OR 12 YEAR OLD TO BE IN A CAMP WITH YOUNGER CHILDREN?

Your older child will enjoy opportunities to be a leader and will be given added responsibilities within the group.  Learning opportunities are driven by the children and thus, will always be at their level of understanding.  Their learning can be as complex and deep as they'd like it to be!

WHAT WILL I BE REQUIRED TO SEND WITH MY CHILD EACH DAY?

A full list of required supplies/gear will be provided upon enrollment.  Aside from a bagged lunch, a change of clothes, sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat for sun protection, and several pairs of footwear for various purposes will be requested.  You may also be asked to send life jackets, bikes, bathing suits etc.  Again, more information will be provided after enrollment at which point you will receive news and updates in advance of the camp's start date.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ENSURE SUN SAFETY?

You will be asked to apply sunscreen on your child in the morning before drop off (ideally half an hour before they will be going outside)and then leave the sunscreen in their bag to be reapplied as needed throughout the day (every 2 hours or after perspiring).  We will be using shaded areas for our activities as much as possible.
